Starlight Lasers V2 Pro compact violet laser pointer

A compact purple laser pointer that charges up

Small, solid and unmistakably violet: the V2 Pro is the purple laser pointer for people who like to carry their laser with them. It measures just 11.2 cm, has an aluminium body and runs on a rechargeable 16340 Li-ion battery, with a charger included. The 405 nm dot has a deep purple-blue tone that stands out from the usual red and green.

Output is up to 1 mW, laser class 2 – the class intended for sale to the public in the UK.

Good to know

Violet is a short-range colour. Indoors you get approx. 20 m, which is plenty for any home or office; outside in daylight the dot is only visible at short distances. Think of the V2 Pro as a desk companion, a gift and a fun indoor laser rather than a tool for long distances.

• Gifts: small enough for a stocking, special enough to impress.
• Indoor cat play: dot low on the floor, short sessions, finish with a toy.
• Everyday carry: pocket or bag, recharged when needed.

Battery tips

The battery charges outside the laser in the supplied PowerFox charger, and with normal use a charge lasts at least about a month. Add a PowerFox 16340 2-pack and a second PowerFox charger if you want a spare ready at all times. Charge on a hard surface and do not leave charging cells unattended.

Safe use at home

Class 2 means the blink reflex gives a safety margin against a brief accidental glance – it is not a reason to look into the beam. Never aim the laser at eyes, at people or at animals' eyes, nor at vehicles, aircraft or reflective surfaces like mirrors and windows. Keep it out of reach of children; it is not a toy and we sell to adults (18+) only. As there are no safety keys, store the V2 Pro out of children's reach. Our laser pointer safety page covers the details.

Free tracked delivery with PostNL, usually 2–5 working days to the UK. It fits through your letterbox, you have 14 days to change your mind and a 1-year warranty on top of your statutory rights.
