A green laser pointer that can do patterns

The G1 Pro gives you everything we love about our rechargeable green laser pointers – a bright 532 nm dot, an aluminium body, an 18650 battery with charger and two safety keys – plus one extra: a removable pattern lens. Leave it off and you have a clear single dot for presentations, cat play and stargazing. Fit it and the beam turns into a pattern you can project onto a wall or ceiling. It is the kind of little surprise that makes the G1 Pro a lovely gift.

Like every laser we sell, the G1 Pro has an output up to 1 mW, laser class 2 (EN 60825-1) – the class intended for sale to the public in the UK. Every unit is measured before it leaves us.

The range figures apply to the single dot. With the pattern lens on, the light is spread over a shape, so it is meant for walls and ceilings at short distances.

Battery and care

Charge the included 18650 battery in the PowerFox charger before first use – the battery comes out of the laser to charge, and with normal use a charge lasts at least about a month. A spare PowerFox 18650 2-pack and a second PowerFox charger are handy extras. Store the pattern lens somewhere safe when you are not using it.

Safe use at home

Class 2 means the blink reflex gives a safety margin against a brief accidental glance – it is not a reason to look into the beam. Never aim the laser at eyes, at people or at animals' eyes, nor at vehicles, aircraft or reflective surfaces like mirrors and windows. Keep it out of reach of children; it is not a toy and we sell to adults (18+) only. Patterns are for walls and ceilings only – never towards faces or windows. Frequently asked questions

What does the pattern lens do?
It splits the beam into a pattern you can project onto a wall or ceiling; turn the lens to switch between about 3 patterns. Remove it and you have a normal single green dot.
Should I use the pattern lens to play with my cat?
A single dot is best for cats: they chase one clear target. Keep it on the floor, never in their eyes, and end on a real toy.
What is the difference between the G1 Pro and the G3 Pro?
Only two things: the G1 Pro has a removable pattern lens and is 16 cm long, while the G3 Pro has no pattern lens and is 15 cm. Battery, charger, safety keys and the green dot are the same.
Does the G1 Pro have safety keys?
Yes, two. The laser only switches on with a key inserted.
Which battery does the G1 Pro use?
One rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery, included with a PowerFox charger. Extra PowerFox 18650 batteries can be added to your order.
