The compact green laser pointer for everyday carry

Some lasers live in a drawer; the G2 Pro lives in your pocket. At 12 cm it is our most compact green laser pointer, yet it gives the same bright 532 nm dot as its bigger siblings. It is rechargeable too: a 16340 Li-ion battery and a charger are included, so the G2 Pro is always ready for the next walk, lesson or game with the cat.

The output is up to 1 mW, laser class 2 – the class intended for sale to the public in the UK – and the aluminium body is pleasantly sturdy for its size.

Where the G2 Pro shines

  • Evening dog walks and camping trips: point out a stile, a landmark or the way back to the tent without carrying a large torch-sized laser.

Battery tips

The 16340 is a small cell, so if you use your laser a lot, a spare PowerFox 16340 2-pack is a smart extra – charge one in the supplied PowerFox charger while you use the other. With normal use a charge lasts at least about a month.

Safe use at home

Class 2 means the blink reflex gives a safety margin against a brief accidental glance – it is not a reason to look into the beam. Never aim the laser at eyes, at people or at animals' eyes, nor at vehicles, aircraft or reflective surfaces like mirrors and windows. Keep it out of reach of children; it is not a toy and we sell to adults (18+) only. The G2 Pro has no safety keys, so store it out of children's reach.
