A rechargeable red laser pointer you can rely on

For many people a laser pointer simply is a red dot. The R1 Pro gives you that classic red dot in a premium package: an aluminium body, a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with charger, and two safety keys. It is the red laser pointer for anyone who uses one often – a lecturer with a full timetable, a trainer on the road, or a cat owner whose cat insists on its evening chase.

The R1 Pro has an output up to 1 mW, laser class 2 (EN 60825-1), the class intended for sale to the public in the UK. Every unit is measured before it leaves our warehouse.

Why red?

Red is easy on the audience: it stands out on a projected slide without being distracting, and it feels familiar in a classroom or meeting room. Indoors it covers approx. 30 m, plenty for a lecture theatre. For long distances outdoors, a green laser is the better tool.

Battery and charging

The 18650 battery and a PowerFox charger are in the box; the battery is charged outside the laser, and with normal use a charge lasts at least about a month. If you present all day, keep a charged spare from the PowerFox 18650 2-pack in your bag. Charge on a hard surface and take the cell out when it is full.

Safe use at home

Class 2 means the blink reflex gives a safety margin against a brief accidental glance – it is not a reason to look into the beam. Never aim the laser at eyes, at people or at animals' eyes, nor at vehicles, aircraft or reflective surfaces like mirrors and windows. Keep it out of reach of children; it is not a toy and we sell to adults (18+) only. Pull out the safety key when you put the laser away – nobody can switch it on without it.
