The X1 green laser pen: simple, slim and bright

Not everyone wants chargers and batteries to look after. The X1 is a green laser pen that does exactly what you expect the moment you take it out of the box: put in the two powerful AAA batteries (included), press the button and a bright green dot appears. With its pen shape and pocket clip, it is as easy to carry as a biro – which is why it is one of the best-selling lasers in our shop.

The X1 has an output up to 1 mW, laser class 2 (EN 60825-1), the class intended for sale to the public in the UK. Every unit is measured before it is shipped.

Batteries

Two powerful AAA batteries are included, and with normal use they last at least about a month. When they run low, any good-quality AAA batteries will do. Take the batteries out if you are not going to use the pen for a few months.

Safety

Class 2 lasers are designed so that the blink reflex protects against a brief accidental glance, but never treat that as permission: do not aim at eyes, at people or at animals' eyes, and never at vehicles, aircraft or reflective surfaces. During cat play, keep the dot on the floor and never in their eyes. This is not a toy – keep it away from children; we sell to adults (18+) only. More on our laser pointer safety page.
