The V1 Pro: a rechargeable violet laser pointer

If red and green feel a little ordinary, meet violet. The V1 Pro projects a 405 nm dot with a deep purple-blue tone that looks wonderful on a pale wall or ceiling and always gets a reaction. Underneath that special colour sits the proven Pro build: an aluminium body, a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery with charger, and two safety keys so the laser only works when you want it to.

The V1 Pro has an output up to 1 mW, laser class 2 (EN 60825-1) – the class intended for sale to the public in the UK.

Where violet works best

Violet is a colour for indoors and short distances. The human eye is less sensitive to it than to green, so the dot looks softer and the visible range is shorter. That makes the V1 Pro a lovely choice for:

• Gifts for people who already own a red or green laser.
• Indoor play with the cat – keep the dot low on the floor.
• Desk and living room use, where you want something a bit different.

Battery and charging

Charge the included 18650 battery in the PowerFox charger before first use; with normal use a charge lasts at least about a month. An extra PowerFox 18650 2-pack can be added to your order and also fits our green and red full-size Pro models.

Safe use at home

Class 2 means the blink reflex gives a safety margin against a brief accidental glance – it is not a reason to look into the beam. Never aim the laser at eyes, at people or at animals' eyes, nor at vehicles, aircraft or reflective surfaces like mirrors and windows. Keep it out of reach of children; it is not a toy and we sell to adults (18+) only. Keep the safety key separate from the laser when children are around.
